Blinded by opulence yet guided by instinct, Soul Compass explores the tension between material wealth and inner wisdom. Inspired by themes of vision, perception, and the weight of societal expectations, this piece invites viewers to question what truly guides them external influences or internal intuition.

The figure, adorned in cascading pearls, is both bound and crowned by them. A bird, symbolising freedom and higher awareness, perches atop her head, pulling at the pearls that obscure her sight. Is it offering liberation or reinforcing her blindness? The ethereal lighting, muted golden tones, and intricate textures evoke a timeless, almost sacred atmosphere, reminiscent of classical portraiture with a surrealist twist.

Through this work, I seek to explore the paradox of adornment how the things we value can both elevate and imprison us. Does the soul navigate through intuition, or is it weighed down by illusions of grandeur?
